LATEST NEWS FROM THE CAUCUS TRAIL – Oxford County keeps the momentum going

AUGUSTA, MAINE, 02/09/2012 – Oxford County Committeewoman, Loretta Mikols said today, “Oxford County Republicans are turning out in droves to participate in the Consolidated Municipal Caucuses. A number of towns that have not held caucuses in several cycles have become active again and among those towns that have caucused, attendance has increased on an average of 100%. The Consolidated Caucus in South Paris was standing room only, with some attendees even standing in the storage room for added space. It is exciting to see so many people of different ages and backgrounds coming together in camaraderie to participate in the 2012 election “kick-off”.

She also reported that all but 5 towns have completed their caucuses and they will caucus in Fryeburg this Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM.

Caucuses across Maine will continue throughout the week and will culminate this coming Saturday evening with the announcement of the Presidential Straw Poll winner at 7:30 at the Portland Regency.
