The Maine GOP is currently accepting applications for our 2017 Summer Internship Program.
Our internship has a proven track record of success and excellence. In 2016, 38 individuals interned for the party throughout the state. We re-elected Congressman Bruce Poliquin, elect President Donald Trump, retain the Maine Senate, and gained seats in the Maine House. Our interns played a critical role in our success.
Our interns use the latest political technology and directly impact elections in Maine. We offer extensive training and support. No other political internship offers this type of impact in Maine.
This past election, our interns have contacted thousands of voters and directly impacted the Presidential race, congressional race, and the down ticket races in a positive way. Winning elections is about winning one vote, one neighborhood at a time, in a coordinated manner, to ensure no voter is missed.
Young Republican politicos looking for an opportunity to stand out and help us build our party must apply.
Our 2017 Summer Internship Program will be based out of our Augusta headquarters and will work 35 hours per week. The internship will go from early June to late August.

How to Apply
Those accepted into our intern program will go through training. The training on-boarding process will provide interns with a background on our day-to-day operations here at the Maine GOP, our goals for 2017, and in field training and hands on training.

Maine GOP interns are never treated as "interns" per se. Rather than being coffee mules or stapler jockeys, each intern was given a level of person attention and care so that everyone could be seen and utilized to their full potential. Merit was acknowledged and rewarded, and The MEGOP staff went to great lengths to collect and catalog all ideas, thoughts, and criticisms in their pursuit of facilitating the most rewarding internship possible.
