Maine GOP Welcomes Governor Jeb Bush, who has family roots in Maine, to Maine's new caucus process Augusta - The Maine GOP is pleased to announce that Governor Jeb Bush has officially qualified for the ballot for the March 5, 2016, Maine GOP Presidential Nominating Caucus.
“We are excited to welcome Governor Jeb Bush to Maine's Presidential Nominating Caucus contest. We know how much Maine means to Governor Bush, with his family ties to Maine going back decades,” said Maine GOP Chairman Rick Bennett. “We look forward to Governor Bush and his team delivering his message of experience, leadership, thoughtful problem-solving, and reforms our nation needs, to Republicans across the great State of Maine.” “My family has always had a strong connection to Maine and I am looking forward to competing for Maine's delegates at the state caucuses in March,” said former Governor Jeb Bush. “We are organizing volunteers and activists across the country to put together a strong ground organization built for the long haul.” The Maine GOP Presidential Nominating Caucus will be held Saturday, March 5th, from 9 AM until 7 PM at sites across the state of Maine. Candidates will compete for a direct allocation of delegate votes to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, where the Republican candidate for President of the United States will be officially nominated.
