AUGUSTA – The Maine Republican Party released the following statement from Party Chair Dr. Demi Kouzounas today in response to the release of the Republican framework for Federal tax reform.

“President Trump’s leadership in pushing for tax reform to benefit Maine’s middle class is exactly the right approach,” said Dr. Kouzounas. “This proposal will create better jobs and bigger paychecks for middle-class Mainers, and help communities struggling with weaker economies rise above the obstacles they face.”

“President Trump promised reform that was simple and fair, and Republicans have delivered,” continued Dr. Kouzounas. “The Maine people have struggled with a complicated and rigged tax code for far too long. The time for reform is now, the plan to grow our economy, un-rig the system, and make sure Mainers keep more of their hard-earned money is this one.”
