Friends,
Yesterday, the Maine Legislature passed emergency legislation to combat the escalating drug crisis in Maine. Governor LePage immediately signed the bill into law.
The $3.7 million spending package puts 10 new Maine drug enforcement agents on the street and dedicates resources to people struggling with addictions and to assist drug prevention efforts.
Thanks to Republican leadership, we are starting to tackle the drug epidemic here in Maine.
Please
read the statements below from Governor LePage, Senate President
Thibodeau, and House Leader Fredette and share them with your friends
and family.
