Maine GOP Provides Undeniable Proof Of Emily Cain’s Dishonest Pitch To Maine Voters
AUGUSTA
– This afternoon, the Maine Republican Party released stunning video of
Emily Cain proudly telling a crowd that she “hated” the tax cuts passed
in the 2011 state budget. Ms. Cain goes on to call that same budget
‘the worst she’d ever seen.’
In campaign ads that have run from summer into the fall however, Emily Cain has claimed credit for these tax cuts and budget that she ‘hated’ and was the ‘worst she’d ever seen.’
“This video is concrete proof of Emily Cain’s dishonesty,” said Maine GOP Executive Director Jason Savage. “Emily Cain should apologize and admit how she has been deliberately deceiving Maine voters.”
“This is reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s approach to TPP, or Clinton’s big bank speeches,” Jason Savage continued, “Emily Cain is literally saying one thing to a group of people, and then blatantly saying the opposite to another in her television ads.
Emily Cain is setting a horrible precedent with such deep dishonesty toward Maine voters, this video proves Ms. Cain has been literally campaigning on both sides of the tax cut and state budget issue. How can voters even hope to trust her after seeing this video? How can they ever know where she truly stands?”
“If Emily Cain will fund television ads to blatantly deceive Maine voters, what will she do next?” asked Jason Savage in conclusion.
