Ms. Karen Abrams, BowdoinhamDearest GOP,
As a republican and the wife of a 100 percent disabled veteran , I have been awakened by the constant failure of the democratic party to provide the changes that need to be done for our military and our veterans. This is dear to my heart and we as republicans need to pick the right republican candidate that truly can make the change for America that we have so desperately needed for so long. I want to help ensure that we as a party get our nominee in office. We do not need another democrat and another 4 yrs. Of the same old same old! I would be honored to serve as a national delegate.

Mr. Matthew Acheson, OronoI have spent the last 15+ years managing Maine based companies in the telecommunications, manufacturing, and software industries. We’re looking at a contested convention folks, and Maine needs delegates that are calm, thoughtful, experienced decision makers who can broker a deal that will have the best chance of beating Hillary Clinton without permanently fracturing the GOP in the process. Let’s respect the will of the people by supporting the front runners, but ultimately rally around the nominee—whoever they are. If our party self-destructs, then the left may control our political system for a generation, to the ruin of all.
I will work to ensure the will of Maine voters finds expression at the convention. As a Christian, I will pray that our leaders have foresight and integrity. Then I will work hard to help unify the party with the common purpose of making America great again.

Mr. Donald Anderson, AuburnMrs. Susan Anderson, AuburnMr. Jim Azzola, PortlandDoes it disturb you how Washington spends this country into bankruptcy, all the while reassuring us everything’s OK? Is it unsettling how the middle class is disappearing, shrinking under the weight of increasing taxes and regulations burdensome to small businesses?
I have run small businesses and experienced what the loss of our precious freedoms means. This is my 3rd time as a Maine state delegate, and my second campaign running for State Representative in Portland’s 41st District. As a national delegate, I will vote for whom I am assigned on the first ballot, and vote my conscience afterwards.
Mr. Burnell Bailey, South BerwickMs. Linda Bean, RocklandYour vote to send me to Cleveland may enable me to serve on the National Platform Committee, where in 2012 I proposed the successful plank on the so-called International Law of the Sea to protect local control for US fishing grounds.
This year I would like to help pass a concealed carry plank.
The Platform Committee accepts one male and one female from each state.
You may depend on me to be a solid vote for local control, free enterprise, and stopping illegal immigration.

Matt is a dedicated constitutional conservative who is a retired military public affairs officer who spent the better part of the last decade working in Washington D.C. His recent exploits as a free-market professor in the University of Maine System have motivated him to run for national delegate. He believes in limited government, lower taxes, less regulation of the marketplace and above all the original intent of constitutional framers as it applies to our constitution, this both in policy and law.
Miss Abigail Bennett, OxfordMy name is Abigail Bennett, and I’m the Chairman of the Maine Federation of College Republicans. I major in Economics at the University of Maine, and I humbly ask for your support of my race for National Delegate. I am impressed with the multiple motivated College Republicans in this race, and I’m even more thrilled to see that the Maine GOP is a welcoming and inspiring network for young Republican advocates to participate both in Maine and on the national stage. I would be honored to receive your support so that I may represent our state at the National Convention.

Mrs. Celestyne Bragg, KitterySenator Eric Brakey, AuburnAs a State Senator, I championed “Constitutional Carry” legislation, protecting Maine people’s 2nd Amendment rights. When voting for a presidential nominee, I will cast my vote for whichever candidate I am bound to. In the event of a brokered convention, I will represent the expressed will of Maine Republicans by casting my vote for the winner of our Maine Republican caucus: Senator Ted Cruz.

ELAINE BRIDGE - MANCHESTER
Senator David Burns, WhitingI have been a social and fiscal conservative and a Republican since my late teens. My values were passed on to me from my parents, upbringing and faith. When it came time in my life to run for public office, first as a local school board member and subsequently to be the state senator for a large part of Downeast Maine, I brought those values forward and use them in every decision I had come before me.
I am now, seeking to be selected as a Delegate to the 2016, Republican, National Convention, which may be the prelude to the most important National election in my lifetime. Our Country is in dire straights and in danger of no longer being the greatest Country in the world. The lack of leadership and the continual unraveling and loss of the values and principles that made this great Country and have sustained us up until now, has been foisted upon us by our current President and those liberals that destain our heritage and way of life.
We now have the opportunity to redirect our Country to reaffirm our original values, strengthen our military, reestablish our position of leadership in the world and redirect the efforts of government to work for the people, rather than be subservient to the government. If we waste this opportunity to turn our Country around, we may never see another.
I will support a leader of this Country that has the values, knowledge, understanding, ability, faith, temperament and demonstrated past to guide the Country through the dangerous future we are facing. That leader must be the person that can earn the respect of the people as a whole, in order to be successful as our president. If I am chosen to be one of your Delegates, I promise to work to that end!
Senator David Burns
Mrs. Diane Caffyn, CanaanMr. Thomas Caffyn, CanaanMr. Jared Callanan, KitteryInclusiveness is a word our party has long preached but failed to practice. Through inclusiveness, honesty, hard work and fairness true progress can be made. We can be a party that reaches out to all races and creeds. A party that brings conservatism into the modern era through sound scientific principles, the highest moral fiber, and solid economic practices.
I'm a lifelong Mainer and Republican. A slate-free supporter of Governor Kasich whose primary goal at the national convention would be doing everything in my power to prevent backroom dealings / manipulation of the rules to suppress any candidate and or delegates.
Ms. Barbara Campbell Harvey, PortlandYou know me
I, Barbara Campbell Harvey, would like to serve the voters of the State of Maine as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention in July of 2016. Since I was elected as Secretary of the Maine GOP in February of 2015, I have visited 15 of the 16 counties (I did visit Aroostook in 2014 where Darla Hamlin, Geri Sullivan Martin , and I put on a breakfast for State Committee at the Potato Festival) I have come to your meetings; attended and/or helped at your fundraisers; bought raffle tickets; and filled in at County Fairs around the State in the booth so that members could do "the fun stuff." I have supported all of our candidates and helped in Special Elections, including a few re-counts.
My biggest strength is that I listen. I felt the ground-swell of support around the state when I delivered LePage re-election signs. I believe that politics should work from "the bottom" up, that the grassroots make the difference, and the every vote counts. I will work to get votes out by making phone calls; writing to new Mainers; going to Church in a community with a contested election; organizing "Lit Drops"; putting up signs; or in other words - I do not mind getting my hands dirty to get the job done!
As an officer of the ME GOP, I have not endorsed any Presidential candidate. However, I would like to represent the State of Maine where I would represent the values that I cherish - my personal Trinity of My Family, My Country; and My God, all of whom I endeavor to serve every day.
You know me and I have listened to you. Please elect me to go to the Republican National Convention to represent the Great State of Maine.
Thank you, Barbara Campbell Harvey
Mr. Gary Capehart, BangorMy country 'tis of thee. Simply stated today, "My Country it is of you". We make our country. That is why I seek to be a delegate. What I do in Cleveland cannot be that which I seek alone. I am one who as a delegate of Maine would represent you. In numbers we are a minority party. We do though have the message that resounds with so many. Let me, you, us, "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity". It does matter today more than ever! Whatever the outcome of the Convention we cannot be petty. We must, "together" back our Republican, and may I say, Republicans. For a limited government submits itself in the 9th and 10th Amendments to give, freedoms, to the people and the states. When this is then practiced, we can say like Martin Luther King "From every mountainside, let freedom ring".
Submitted by Gary E. Capehart Republican running for the Maine State House District 125
Mr. Mason Carson, Presque IsleToday I ask for your support and your vote for a national delegate position, I ask not for myself, but for the many great citizens from all over America that have worked along side me tirelessly throughout this presidential race. I feel it is my duty to God and our country to ensure the voice and will of the people is upheld with dignity.
I may be a common man, but there's nothing common in my love of country. I am a quiet man - but I hear the quiet people others don't. The ones who raise the family, pay the taxes, meet the mortgage. I hear them and I am moved, and their concerns are mine.
I seek the national delegate position for a single purpose, a purpose that has motivated millions of Americans across our great nation. I seek the position to do my duty and to help build a better America. It is that simple - and that big.
God bless America.
Ms. Linda Carvell, East MillinocketHELLO, MY FELLOW REPUBLICANS. WHAT AN EXCITING YEAR. MY NAME IS LINDA CARVELL. I HAVE BEEN A WORKER FOR THE PARTY SINCE NIXON DAYS. Hon. Tyler Clark, AugustaI have served three terms as a Republican State Representative. I was a member of the Appropriations committee, and helped craft the largest tax cut in Maine history. I also held the line on new spending and worked hard to reform welfare to only protect the neediest in our State. As your delegate I will take my conservative values and experience to the convention to represent Maine.

This election is the most important election of our life time, I do not think our country will survive another four years under the Democratic Party. It is our duty to nominate a strong conservative, someone who will uphold our constitution and defend our liberty. As a supporter of Senator Ted Cruz I believe he holds the key to turning our country around. I believe he should be our nominee. If I'm elected as one of the Maine national delegate senator Cruz will have my support one hundred percent at the Cleveland convention. Thank you
Mr. Kenneth Conley, South Berwick"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke. And its true, If we don't ensure that our voice is heard at this National Convention this election will be stolen, and our country even further lost. So I must get involved, you must get involved, we all must be involved in order to remind the power hungry elites that they will be accountable to WE THE PEOPLE and we make the decisions not them!
I promise you that's what I will do if I am elected. Thank you for your consideration. Ken Conley

Reference: Delegate to National Republican Convention
My wife and I would like to represent you at the National Republican Convention. The delegates that we elect in April should have one goal in mind and that is to represent the Republicans of the State of Maine in Cleveland, Ohio. The Maine Republicans already made their choice clear at our caucuses on March 5, 2016. It would be disingenuous for a delegate to attend the National Convention with other intentions in mind. We pledge to represent Maine Republicans at the National Convention.
Mrs. Sheila Corey, WindhamSHEILA COREY
Hello fellow GOP members. My grassroots enthusiasm began in the 1980’s when my father ran for the Maine State Legislature. Since then I have been a dedicated Republican. Nowadays, I serve the GOP as secretary of the Windham Town Committee and as an active member on the Cumberland County and State Committees. I've volunteered countless hours and put resources into many local and national campaigns and I would love the opportunity to serve as a National Delegate. I hope I can count on your support in representing Maine at the National Convention this July.

Senator Andre Cushing, NewportDear Fellow Republicans,
I am honored to serve you in the Maine Legislature, and as a life long Republican I look forward to this election cycle for our party's nominee to be elected to the White House and return our country to a more stable and responsible course. America has been a leader for the world and we can continue this role if we select and support the right person.
As someone who has attended several national conventions, served on the state committee, and worked at many levels for our candidates I understand the need for us to come together and support our party's nominee. This convention will be one of the most scrutinized and important events we have seen in over thirty years. Being prepared to cast a vote for the nominee may be a long and challenging process.
I am prepared to work with our state's delegation to find the right person and do so in a respectful manner. My years in legislative and local office have conditioned me to understand how to ask the right questions and study the issues before making my vote.
As a small business owner for over 35 years, a life long Republican activist, and native Mainer, I would be proud to represent our state again at a national convention and I ask for your support when the election of delegates takes place at our convention.
Thank you. Senator Andre Cushing
Mr. John Cushing, SacoMr. James Cyr, CaribouI’m Jim Cyr, from Caribou. I have been active with the Maine GOP since 2000, including being on county committee and the state platform committee. I was very active in the College Republicans as a graduate student. I have worked on many local and state campaigns, as well as every Presidential campaign. I support both leading candidates this year, but as a delegate, I will vote for Trump. He won my county and I’m not afraid of his nomination. I will reject any kind of shenanigans from the good old boys club, full stop.
Senator Paul Davis, SangervilleMr. Jordan DeCoster, BrunswickSince 2012 I have worked on three statewide campaigns in Maine, notably as Field Director for NO on 1-Save Maine's Bear Hunt in 2014. I support Governor John Kasich because he has an impressive fiscal record in Congress and in Ohio. As Chairman of the House Budget Committee, he led the last successful effort to balance the federal budget. As Governor, he closed Ohio's $8 billion budget shortfall without raising taxes. It would be a tremendous honor to represent my state in Cleveland this summer because we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Mr. Bryan Dench, FalmouthI have supported Republican presidential candidates since 1980 and have been active in Republican politics nearly 40 years. I have actively participated and helped in local meetings and caucuses, including assisting with voter sign in and qualification and the count of candidate preference votes. I have attended state conventions, and hope now to have the opportunity to attend a national convention. Our nation depends on our selecting the right presidential candidate who can win. I will represent the Maine Republican party in Cleveland with integrity and faithfulness to the nomination process.

Mrs. Susan Dench, Falmouth"As a lifelong Republican, I founded the non-partisan Informed Women’s Network to engage, educate, and empower all women on issues relating to the power of the purse. I have represented Maine and the IWN in many different venues, here and around the country, where I am networked into other conservative groups. I have participated in caucuses and attended state conventions, and would like the opportunity to represent Maine and the Maine Republican party at the national convention, which I will do with thoughtfulness, integrity and faithfulness to the nomination process."

1. Liberal Supreme Court Justice nominations (1-4).
2. Political correctness amped up, limiting free speech.
3. Loss of your personal and family's security, due to curtailed Second Amendment Rights.
4. Increased government regulation of American small businesses, limiting job growth.
5. More Clinton-style political corruption.

I also had stints of US assignments in New Orleans and Houston.
I retired in 2011 after 40+ years of service and for the last twelve (12) years as Executive Vice President of the company, my wife and I have moved back to Maine on a permanent basis. As a landowner and a small business owner (Rails restaurant in Lewiston, Maine), I am concerned about the direction that the US is heading and want to do whatever I can to see that the political trajectory of the US is re-directed to emphasize independence, a willingness to risk for reward and rewarding efforts to create opportunities and chances for advancement in the US economy.
Having lived in so many foreign countries I believe I have I unique understanding of what our friend and allies overseas want to see from our foreign policy and what works to make them reliable allies. First of all, the US must be a reliable ally.
I respectfully, request your sincere consideration to become a delegate to the 2016 Republican convention in Cleveland from the State of Maine

Mrs. Deborah Dickinson Milite, FreeportAs a Maine National Republican Convention delegate, I would bring a lifetime of conservative leanings and action. Raised in Freeport, influenced by Mom and Dad, I put up Goldwater posters in the school hallways in junior high. I watched from the bleachers the 1976 Republican Convention; forty years later, I want to help nominate the best Republican candidate to win in November and restore American freedom. I am an active Freeport Republican Town Committee member, 2012 Maine Republican Party convention volunteer, 2014 and 2016 Maine convention delegate, and would be honored to serve as a Maine delegate. Thank you.
Mr. Joshua Donnelly, BrewerMr. James Donnelly, BrewerMr. John Doyle, West Baldwin“While I would rather see other thoughtful, freedom-loving Republicans attend the Republican National Convention to represent Maine in my stead, I will go and serve to the best of my ability if you see fit to send me to Cleveland. Thank you.”

Vice Chair, Cumberland County Republican Committee
Mr. Gordon Draper, BowdoinI would like your support to be a delegate. I support Senator Ted Cruz. He is a conservative with expert constitutional wisdom who has demonstrated the fundamental principle of just government which derives its just powers from consent of the governed. Senator Cruz has demonstrated that he stands against the unelected bureaucrats for making the laws which the legislators have delegated their responsibilities to the executive branch. We need a candidate who can restore the rule of law and govern using the natural right principles from the Declaration. See my statement of First Principles in the Sag county GOP page in the booklet.
Mrs. Leslie Dubois, Lewiston12-9-2. No decisive win. Cruz Trump Kasich, whom will it be? I am delighted to announce that you can vote for me to be a National Delegate. The Delegate’s primary responsibility must be to choose the GOP Presidential Candidate that can win in November. We CANNOT allow a communist or a socialist into office. We need to nominate the Most Electable person, Trump in July for a win in November.
I, Leslie Dubois, am attending the Maine GOP 2016 State Convention & ask for your vote.
Have a splendid day

Mr. Donald Dubuc, MinotTo whom it may concern; I would appreciate the chance to become a national delegate to the convention this year. For too long I have been talking about what is wrong with this country and never having the time to do anything to try and fix it because of the long hours spent building and taking care of our business. We helped build the new Maine General Regional Hospital in Augusta and we are in the process of helping Cianbro modernize Eastern Maine Medical Center and it’s time I give back to this state. I feel the desperate need to try and do my part in making sure our future generations have the same chances we had to succeed in life. Mr. Nathaniel Dunlap, CumberlandAs a Maine native, I am determined to wisely represent this great state at the Republican National Convention. I grew up in Kennebec County and am now a CPA and financial consultant. My experience has made me concerned about the irresponsibility of our national government and its infringement on our liberties and our livelihoods. As a national delegate, I will be able to help guide the Republican Party's platform to reflect the values my fellow Mainers and I find important, such as a small federal government and an eased tax burden. I support Ted Cruz as he reflects these values.
Ms. Sydney Dunlap, ScarboroughMr. Joshua Dunlap, ScarboroughJoshua Dunlap
As a constitutional conservative, I am asking for your support as I run for national delegate. I was born and raised in Maine, graduated from Notre Dame Law School, clerked on the US Court of Appeals, and am now raising a family and practicing law in this great State. I believe that the Republican nominee should have a proven commitment to limited government, the rule of law, separation of powers, free market economics, life and liberty, and a strong and stable foreign policy. Our nation needs bold, conservative solutions. It is for this reason that I support Senator Cruz.
Mr. David Edsall, MD, EllsworthI am the Ellsworth candidate for the Maine House. 1964, my mother was a delegate to the Republican National Convention. Her experience taught me the value of political involvement and advocacy. I actively supported Reagan, Bush (41), Dole, Bush (43) McCain, and Romney. Both Democrat candidates are dangerous and must be defeated. I believe the Republican ticket must be diverse and engaging. Supreme Court nominations are a priority. I am unsure who, of the Republican candidates, is the most likely to become a successful president but I am eager to support the eventual Republican nominee.

Mr. Tom Elliman, PortlandMy name is Tom Elliman. I am a candidate to represent you as a Delegate or Alternate at the National Convention in Cleveland in July. I am a Donald Trump supporter, but I pledge to support the candidate of the Party, whoever is selected at Convention.
I have been a registered Republican since 1960, when I turned 18, back in Damariscotta. Shortly thereafter I proudly voted for Barry Goldwater. Since then I have loyally supported all Republicans to appear on the ballot, both nationally and locally. In 2008, I became Chairman of the Portland Republican City Committee, and served two terms on the State Committee as well as the County committee. I would very much appreciate your vote and would be honored to represent Maine at the Republican National Convention.
Mr. Lee Ellingwood, ParisDear fellow Republicans,
Greetings, My name is Lee Ellingwood. I was born in Portland, Maine in the summer of 1969, I was raised on Crockett Ridge in Norway, Maine and was the Barber in South Paris from 1991 to 2005. I am a father of three, step-father of four and a grandfather of three.
I am a lifelong Republican and have become greatly concerned over the state of our troubled nation over the past 8 years. I have seen our liberties being taken from us and the Democrats have further divided our country. They have failed our country miserably and I believe we must act now. I have been saying right along that, “somebody has got to do something!” Well I have since realized that maybe that someone is me. I am fully prepared and passionate about attending the Republican National Convention. I am asking you please for your support and votes to attend this most important event. I truly believe that the future of America for our children and grandchildren is hanging in the balance. I thank you for your service to our wonderful country.
Great fully Yours,
Lee A. Ellingwood

Rep. Ellie Espling, New GloucesterThank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to attend our state convention. Whether this is your first convention or one of many, I trust that you will see old friends, make new ones, learn about the convention process and have some fun too!!! As the Assistant Republican Leader in the Maine House and someone who has been involved in the Maine GOP for most of my adult life, I understand the importance of respect for each other, respect for fair process and the importance of working well with others. As a National Delegate, I will be a positive voice for Maine and the Republican Party. Ellie Espling
Ms. Barbara Falls, Old TownMr. William Faulkingham, Winter HarborMy name is Billy Bob Faulkingham. I am a father, lobster fisherman, and husband. The most important things to me are family. My wife and I raise our children, our daughter, Robin, and son, Carter, in a loving home, and our best times are spent doing family outings. I am involved in my town as a selectman, and chairman of my town GOP party. I have worked hard for the party on ballot signatures, putting up signs, donating money, going door to door for candidates, and educating people on Republican principles. I believe very much in the whole of the Constitution, I believe it is the most perfect document written by man, and I believe that we must elect a conservative to get this country back on track with those principles. I also believe the great state of Maine should send a Lobsterman to represent us in Ohio this summer, and I"m your Man! Thank you for your support!
Mrs. Lauralee Fegel, ChinaLauralee Fegel's submission:
Please vote for me as your National Delegate. Our next President needs to protect our freedom, our families, and pursue our prosperity. I will vote for that nominee!
I attended the 2000 Republican National Convention. That historic contest prepared me for this convention.
I am a TEACHER. I teach students to embrace our political process.
I will TAKE your values, your ideals, your passion for republican policies to the convention and then back to the future of our country, our students. I humbly ask for your vote to be your Delegate to the Republican National Convention.
Mr. Dale Fegel Jr., ChinaDale Fegel's submission:
What an honor to represent the Maine Delegation at the National Convention! This year’s convention will prove to be historic. It may require a number of floor votes before a nominee is decided. At the 2000 National Convention I was an Alternate Delegate of the Massachusetts Delegation. I was credentialed to be on the floor and what a great opportunity to be among that historic contest between Senator McCain and Governor Bush. I would represent the Maine GOP well. I have experience with the convention process. Please vote for me as a delegate.
Mr. Robert Ferns, Wells“I am a candidate to be a Ted Cruz delegate. I have been a conservative Republican, both fiscally and socially, all my life. I believe:
-in the Judeo-Christian principles that our Republic was founded upon;
-in personal responsibility and accountability;
-in a limited government that balances it’s budget;
-we should secure our borders and have a national defense that is second to none;
-in free-marketplace principles, freedom of religion, and in the right to keep and bear arms.
I believe Ted Cruz best characterizes these republican principles. However, I will unequivocally support the eventual Republican nominee.”
Mrs. Wendy Ferns, WellsMr. Joshua Filler, FalmouthHon. Leslie Fossel, AlnaMr. Halsey Frank, PortlandI am a moderate conservative Republican, sometimes affectionately known as a RINO, a somewhat endangered, but hopefully not extinct, form of the type. For six years, from 2000 to 2006, I was chair of the Portland Republican City Committee. During that time, we published a weekly newsletter, contested most races for elective office representing Portland (10 legislative, and 9 council, seats), supported our candidates with weekly strategy meetings during the campaign season, and hosted election year dinners to honor them. In addition, I have been a member of the county and state committees and the convention platform committee. For the past 11 years, I have written a column in The Forecaster where I try to support Republican positions with evidence. Of the candidates still in the race, I prefer Ohio Governor John Kasich. I would be grateful for your vote.

Mrs. Dawn Gilbert, BoothbayMr. Adam Gonzalez, AuburnMy Fellow GOP Colleague,
We have been steered so far LEFT under this Administration, it's time to turn RIGHT and turn RIGHT NOW!
Our conservative principles have been ignored for the last eight years. We've put up a good fight, now it's time to win the fight.
This Administration has gradually and flippantly tossed away our simple needs: Less Government, Lower Taxes and Self Reliance
Let's start turning RIGHT and turning RIGHT NOW. Let's get to Cleveland and unite! Unite under the GOP nominee and remind everyone how great our conservative values and teach our children and their children about what America USED TO BE.
It's time to be proud of America, not shameful. It's time to take on the real issues that face us everyday.
It's time to show the world that we are THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Allow me the opportunity to show that in Cleveland, Oh on behalf of the GREAT STATE OF MAINE!
Thank you for your anticipated support and vote in allowing me to join our cause at the National GOP Convention.
Ms. Maureen Gonzalez, AuburnTo my fellow Mainers,
I would be honored to represent our great state in Cleveland this July! I am a lifelong Republican and am proud that the first vote I cast was for Ronald Reagan and have never missed an election since. I am a 54 year old professional woman in banking, married with 3 children and 7 grandchildren and am gravely concerned about the future for our nation .I was raised in the Washington D.C suburbs and was immersed in politics at an early age including working on several campaigns and studying political science at James Madison University. I am a Trump supporter. I believe his leadership, communication skills, business background, toughness and not being from the establishment make him the best choice for President.
Mr. Manley Gove Sr., South BerwickIf loving God we're a crime I would be an outlaw. I am intend to bring those values to Cleveland Ohio
Mrs. Linda Gray, HarringtonMr. Donald Gross, WarrenI would be honored to go to Cleveland and represent Warren and Knox County. I am a staunch Trump supporter and would not waiver no matter how many ballots are taken. My caucus group was very heavily Trump supporters as am I. I truly want to make America great again! I want my kids and grandkids to know what it was like to grow up in the fifties and sixties. A time when family was important, and integrity was paramount.
Mrs. Suzanne Grover, NorwayMr. Joseph Guerin, GlenburnRep. Stacey Guerin, GlenburnMr. David Gulya, Blue HillWith the “Establishment” working overtime in many other states to do everything to subvert the will of the voters that did vote for Mr. Trump, I promise steadfast loyalty to the 6,070 people in Maine, including myself, that cast a ballot for Mr. Trump. He is entitled to his 9 Delegates from the State of Maine and as such, if elected, I will make sure the supporters of Mr. Trump are confident that their choice makes it all the way to Cleveland and on to the White House. I will continue doing what I can to Make America Great Again.

Mr. Keith Hilton, South GardinerMrs. Marji Hilton, South GardinerMr. Seth Holton, South BerwickI am just a middle class blue collar welder. I have been a registered republican since 1999. Growing up in a small town, I knew what American freedom meant. However, present day is not the same. Everyday I see our freedoms eroded. I have served my country to protect the rights that our fore fathers fought and died for, but I am fearful of the America that my children could grow up in. I can no longer be a passive citizen, it is time to stand up and help progress the conservative movement.
TED CRUZ 2016
Mr. Kyle Holton, South BerwickWhen this country first won its independence and it's citizens their freedom, it was not by members of the boys club or the political elite, but by ordinary people; farmers, teachers, tradesmen, and their families. We will never earn that type of freedom again until those that have the most to lose, the common people, are the ones leading the battle. This country is at a critical point now. Liberal America is chipping away at our freedoms every day. We need a strong, consistent, hard nosed, stubborn President who will take a concrete and unwavering stand to defend our original constitution and we need delegates with those same characteristics to help elect him. I cannot be swayed, Ted Cruz for President.

Mr. Chris Kimble, PortlandI'm a conservative libertarian living in Portland and support a platform which maximizes individual liberty and returns power to the state level or to the people where it rightfully belongs. I caucused for Cruz as the best remaining candidate supporting individual liberty and Constitutional governance. Although libertarian in ideals, I take a practical approach to politics and would support efforts which move us toward greater individual liberty even if they do not fully represent my ideal solution. I seek to build common ground through listening to the concerns of others and would be honored to represent Maine in Cleveland.

WINNING THIS YEAR IS EVERYTHING!
Furious at Obama and Democrats for ramming their unrelenting progressive agenda down our throats since 2009, Republicans have won at every level of government. The GOP is now on the verge of its greatest victory -- or its ugliest defeat. We need a nominee who can win the Presidency, and carry the Senate and House. Donald Trump is NOT able to do this. I will NOT vote for him. I WILL support any version of a Cruz-Kasich ticket. No one else deserves to be on the ballot.

Process Matters, Limited Government Matters
If chosen to be a Delegate to the National Convention in Cleveland, I will work to ensure the process is legitimate. You can be assured I will work to help ensure a fair and legitimate process. If there is an open convention, I will vote for the candidate I believe will keep government the most limited.
I am a two-time candidate for Maine legislative office, a current two-time County Chair of the Cumberland County GOP, and current two-time Chair of the Maine GOP Rules & Procedures Committee. I have seen that Government works best when it leaves more duties up to the People and provides a transparent system for the People to select their Government.

My son recently retired from the USAF as a senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Iraq War Veteran, and my daughter is a career active duty USCG officer. Together we have nearly 91 years of noteworthy military and public service dedicated to the preservation of American freedom and Democracy. I lived and worked overseas for nearly half of my long military and public career in places such as England, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, Zaire, Turkey, and Germany. As a doctoral candidate, I studied extensively many different models of political and social societies. My education and first hand life experience has proven to me, without a doubt, that the liberal movement and path our great America is currently on, towards socialism and highly restricted freedoms, is a path to ruins. We must double back now to a true conservative American Democracy and put us back on a path of freedom. My four little granddaughters deserve the right to have the same rights and freedoms America once provided. Lets not let the liberals take that away, please support and vote for me to be one of your Maine state delegates to the GOP National Convention.

Ms. Kathryn Nagle, BangorTo Whom It May Concern:
The Maine GOP delegation requires diverse representation reflective of the values and people of our state. As a young woman majoring in Economics and Public Policy in college, I am a unique candidate for the Republican National Convention. Today, more youth feel disenfranchised and unmoved by the major public figures of the GOP, thus are turning to frustrated hyperbolic rhetoric that rejects the cornerstone policies the GOP represents. As a future public servant, I have a deeply vested interest in the platform and presidential candidate that will represent the GOP as a whole, and I wish to help determine the party’s future accomplishments.
Mr. David Nelson, ParkmanAt the age of 61 I have always been politically independent (unenrolled). This year I changed to Republican, became a delegate to the Town of Parkman and joined the Republican committee of Piscatiquis County. The reason being is the candidacy of Donald Trump inspired me to become politically active for the first time in years. I know that there are other people just like me who have a candidate they can believe in. I urge the convention to bring in these new people to show that the Republican Party is open to new people and new ideas.

Mrs. Kim Pettengill, FarmingdaleKim Pettengill
Politics has been entrenched in my life and my family’s life since I was born. As an adult serving the Republican Party in many capacities for the past 44 years. My experience has included staffing a Presidential campaign, a member of Congressman Dave Emery’s staff and volunteering on many candidate and referendum campaigns and coordinating recounts.
Outside of politics, I am active in Eastern Star and have served as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon of my church.
It would be my honor to represent Maine at the National Convention and I would appreciate your vote.
Ms. Lillian Piliere, South BerwickMy name is Lillian Piliere and I ask for your vote to represent Maine as a delegate at the Republican National Convention.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering; working in private industry many years. Being a lifelong Republican who grew up spending summers on the Maine Coast, my love for the area led me to South Berwick.
Saddened by the direction our country is taking, I cannot remain silent anymore. Our nation is at risk; it is my civic duty to act.
It would be an honor to receive your support. I will use the best of my abilities to uphold Republican principles to nominate the next President of the United States.
Mrs. Susan Pope, BangorSTATEMENT OF THE CANDIDATE FOR NATIONAL DELEGATE, SUSAN POPE
We are a nation of laws or we are a nation in anarchy. If selected, I will faithfully uphold the obligations placed upon me by the Maine State Republican Party and our platform.
I will cheerfully greet all I encounter while representing Maine, including those with different political viewpoints. I will model and celebrate the basic tenets of the Republican party--self-reliance, love of community, and the belief that all work is worthy of respect.
As someone who was, is, and forever will be considered "from away," I would be honored if you entrust me with a vote at the National Convention in Cleveland this July. I will not let you down.

While I am no Ronald Reagan, I do share something in common. For 20+ years I was a registered Dem. By age 40 I realized they had abandoned us, and in 2000 cast my first vote for president as a Republican. It would be my honor to be one of those representing Maine at the National Convention, in hopes I will again have the privilege of electing a Republican President. I am no Ronald Reagan, but I do know that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."
Ms. Margery Ripley, South ParisI'm a strong longstanding supporter of Republican principles and values including: Faith-in a creator who endowed us with inalienable rights that the Constitution protects; Hope - in the values of liberty and justice for ALL; Charity -individually given from individuals to those who are truly needy; Rules, regulations and laws- that do not compromise the directions put forth in the Constitution, etc. I will be honored to serve, and will vote for leaders who will restore Republican principles and Values. I will respect the trust you will show by voting for me. Thank you for this sobering opportunity.

I strongly feel Congress must find some way to exert control over the bureaucracy's rule/lawmaking activity, so that great national policy decision cannot be made by an activist President acting in collusion with the bureaucracy, ignoring Congress' role.

Mr. William Rogers, BrewerMr. Todd Rogers, BrewerHon. David Savage, FalmouthFellow Republicans,
I am asking for your support to be a delegate to the 2016 Republican Convention to be held in Cleveland, Ohio, this summer.
I feel this is one of the most important elections we will ever see.
As to my qualifications, I served in the Maine House from 2006-2008 representing district 112, Falmouth, Maine. I have been a Maine Republican delegate 5 times, including this year, and I attended the Tampa, Florida convention in 2012, as an alternate delegate.
I am a lifelong Republican, lifelong New Englander, and to my knowledge have never missed a vote over the past 40 years.
I fully realize there are a lot of applicants, and a limited number of openings. I would appreciate your vote.
Hon. Dave Savage
Mr. Michael Shaw, EllsworthMs. Julie Sheehan, Cape ElizabethI am a lifelong Republican and a single mother, raising three children in Southern Maine.
I am not a politician but I have grown increasingly active in the party over the past decade as I have witnessed what is happening to our country.
I want a nation my children inherit to reflect the values that have made us great.
I want them to live in a world where we remain a world power.
We need a President who can preserve the best the United States has to offer.
This convention will be of historic consequence to the future of our great country.
We need a committed and competent cross section of the Maine Republican Party to represent us in Cleveland.
If selected, I guarantee I will serve us well.
Mr. James Sinclair, LincolnvilleMr. Frank Soares, South ChinaMr. James Solley, FalmouthJames Solley volunteers because:
• This convention will make decisions that either propel the party to victory or split it apart permanently. Delegates must rise above the conflicts and make strategic decisions which will put the country back on the road to prosperity.
• I understand the financial turmoil the country faces – unbalanced budgets, excess regulations, excessive debt and the need to defend the Constitution.
• I have traveled to Washington DC to demonstrate against Obamacare and Immigration and felt the anger that is driving this election.
• I volunteered on the Scontras for Congress Campaign and understand how Democrats operate during an election.

Mr. Joshua Spooner, TopshamI’m Joshua Spooner. Like most of you I’m a lifelong Republican, having deep ancestral roots in Maine. I’m as angry as you about our government’s incomprehensible enormity, unfathomable debt, gross incompetence, and vast reach into our lives through regulatory oppression and judicial activism. The time for compromise with liberals and the nomination of “centrist” Republican candidates ended long ago. That’s why I wholeheartedly support Senator Cruz, and, as I'm a non-politician immune to influence, I’m asking for your vote to serve as a National Delegate. If elected, I will faithfully carry out my duties and vote as required, but I pledge to vote for Senator Cruz when permitted to do so and to use my skills as a successful business attorney to try to persuade others to do the same.

Ms. Kathy Tardif, LewistonMs. Delaina Toothman, Old TownMrs. Wendy Turner, BuckfieldI came in on the tea party wave. To be the change we wanted in the party. To stand and fight for the true principles of the GOP. To oppress Progressivism and reign in the establishments corrupt power. Abandoning the ship because the current was to strong was not an option for me. This storm is big. I have a passion to stand until the end. I will represent Maine with honor. Not anger. Emotions will be strong in Cleveland. I’ll be stady and true. America, the constitution and my grandchildren are too important. I must go. God willing.

• Senator Cruz is the most electable conservative option against Hillary Clinton.
• Senator Cruz is the most consistent and principled conservative.

“We are honored to have Ms. Fiorina speaking to our convention,” said Maine GOP Convention Committee Chairwoman Corenna O'Brien. “Maine Republicans deserve the best, and Ms. Fiorina, as a successful businesswoman and powerful political force, certainly fits the bill.”

BREAKING: New Document Further Exposes Emily Cain's Hypocrisy On Wealthy Donors and Dark-Money Groups

BREAKING: New Document Further Exposes Emily Cain's Hypocrisy On Wealthy Donors and Dark-Money Groups
AUGUSTA – The Maine Republican Party today released a document that further exposes Emily Cain's hypocrisy in her recent trip to Hollywood to attend a private conclave with some of America's richest political donors which included, according to Politico, a top adviser at Soros Fund Management, a Wall Street Hedge Fund.
Emily Cain has used her work for ending Citizen’s United as a reputation builder, even going so far as to secure an endorsement from End Citizens United, an organization who explains their mission as follows:
“The Supreme Court’s 2010 decision in Citizens United v. F.E.C. completely changed the landscape of American elections. It further established the legal basis for the idea that ‘corporations are people’ and opened the door for billionaires and special interests to spend unlimited, untraceable money in America’s elections.”- Endcitizensunited.org
This mission is echoed by Emily Cain through her December 2015 endorsement:
“If we’re serious about getting Congress working again, we need to end the secret money flowing to politicians in Washington. I’m excited to work together with the people of Maine’s 2nd district and End Citizens United because we cannot stand by and let the voices of everyday Americans be drowned out by millionaires and billionaires.”
However, Ms. Cain's statement rings hollow following last week's news that she chose to go to Hollywood and attend a Democracy Alliance meeting, a group which charges its members $30,000 a year in dues and requires that they also make at least $200,000 in donations to chosen causes. Recently revealed Democracy Alliance members are CEO’s, heiresses to large fortunes and big bank executives.
The reason we have to use the term ‘recently revealed members’ is because not only is the Democracy Alliance a source of unlimited funding from some of the wealthiest people in America, it is intentionally secretive, allowing for its members to remain anonymous while they use the Democracy Alliance to essentially ‘launder’ their dark-money contributions into whichever cause they are being instructed to support. The recipients of the funds and the donors are required to stay silent about the organization’s involvement and activity.
“Emily Cain can't be a darling of the liberal 'billionaire club' but still claim to oppose everything they stand for,” explained Maine GOP Executive Director Jason Savage. “Her application for support from End Citizens United perfectly exposes her hypocritical method of attacking Wall Street and wealthy donors while simultaneously cashing in on their financial support.”
It seems that Emily Cain feels free to say one thing and do another if it means she gets a chance to rub elbows with Wall Street CEO’s and secure the support of some Wall Street dark-money of her own. Review her application for her End Citizens United endorsement and decide for yourself.
It appears to us that Emily Cain's position on money in politics, and the influence of millionaires and billionaires in the political process changes on who Ms. Cain is talking to, and what they have to offer her.
AUGUSTA- Dr. Ben Carson will be the Banquet Keynote Speaker Friday April 22, at the Maine State GOP Convention’s Presidential Dinner. Maine GOP Chairman Rick Bennett commented, “Maine Republicans have a lot to be excited about, from a slew of great candidates to record participation in the State Convention. Dr. Carson will be a great addition to our record year.”
Dr. Carson is a retired neurosurgeon, author of eight books and recipient of 67 honorary doctorate degrees.
AUGUSTA- With just under two weeks left until the Maine State GOP Convention the state Republican Party is highlighting enthusiasm for this year’s event. Nearly 200 individuals are out to secure a position as a National Delegate, an exciting development for the state convention.
This number of applicants is a record number of candidates for the 20 delegates who will be chosen to represent Maine at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. The convention will also select alternates from this pool of candidates.
Maine Republican Party Chairman Rick Bennett is enthusiastic about the record involvement, “It is incredible to see so many Republicans who are being inspired and motivated this election cycle. This is a wonderful reflection of the eagerness and increased participation we are seeing here at the State Party.”
In addition to record National Delegate applicants at the State Convention, Republican Headquarters in Augusta has seen increased interest from the public in volunteering and donating.
Rebecca Telega, Regional Field Director for the Maine Republican Party has particularly noted an increase in interest from millennials, “Young Republicans are eager to get involved, I think the Presidential Primary is really motivating people who wouldn’t otherwise be engaged to get involved and learn more about the process, as well as engage at the local level.”
Maine GOP Political Director Joe Turcotte added, “We have numerous of key Republican seats here in Maine up for grabs and that has a lot of folks ready to help out in any way they can. We're encouraged with so many people getting involved.”

LEAK: Out-Of-Touch Emily Cain Lurks With Liberal Elite & Dark Money Billionaires At Hollywood Conclave Pushing Progressive Agenda
AUGUSTA - While the average Maine voter is probably worried about Maine's heroin epidemic, keeping their job or paying their bills, a leaked agenda from a secretive group of liberal billionaires and dark money groups show lifelong politician and Congressional Candidate Emily Cain is more at home in California than she is here in Maine.
Read article from Politico here.
The Democracy Alliance, a shadowy dark-money group funded by America's liberal elite charges donors $30,000 to get in the door to this event, and $200,000 in annual contributions to maintain membership in the group.
One notable attendee at this event with Ms. Emily Cain: Top George Soros political lieutenant Michael Vachon.
Jason Savage, Maine GOP Executive Director, offered his thoughts: "This appearance demonstrates how out of touch Emily Cain is with Maine people. She would rather schmooze with liberal Hollywood elites than discuss the real issues affecting Mainers, issues like loss of jobs and record deaths from heroin overdoses."
The irony of Emily Cain's claims to oppose this type of big money in politics should not be lost on Maine voters. In public statements and social media, Ms. Cain makes claims that this private meeting with dark-money millionaires and billionaires exposes as blatantly untrue:
"With Emily Cain in Congress, middle class Mainers will have a tenacious voice at the table to stand up for them, not big banks and wall street”
“If we’re serious about getting Congress working again, we need to end the secret money flowing to politicians in Washington,” said Cain. “I’m excited to work together with the people of Maine’s 2nd district and End Citizens United because we cannot stand by and let the voices of everyday Americans be drowned out by millionaires and billionaires.” -Emily Cain on End Citizens United endorsement
What hard-working Maine people should be asking Emily Cain is – how can she attack others for reporting legal campaign contributions from individuals while she is mingling at private meetings with dark-money groups and billionaires more than 3,000 miles from home?
Jason Savage added, “Do Maine people really believe that a lifelong politician who would rather be on the stage in Hollywood than caring about Maine people is best equipped to help them deal with their real-life concerns?”
While Maine people cope with losing friends, family and neighbors to the drug crisis and jobs to the economic impact of energy and business costs, Emily Cain is hanging with dark-money billionaires, working on issues such as diversity at the Oscars, making movies to support a progressive agenda, legalizing drugs, and electing Democrats in the state of California.
Not only is Ms. Cain in the wrong state, ignoring the top concerns for Maine people, she is being featured by a group whose dark-money schemes are exactly the type of operation Ms. Cain has told voters she is opposed to.
“In Maine, Emily Cain claims to oppose big-money funding from Wall Street, and dark-money political groups,” said Mr. Savage. “But this report proves that when she lands in Hollywood, Ms. Cain will do the exact opposite.”
