AUGUSTA - Today, Maine Republican Party Chair Demi Kouzounas released the following statement on the passage of Question 2:

"I am disappointed in the passage of this initiative, sold by its proponents with false ads, and put on the ballot with illegal signature gathering. However, we will continue fighting for Maine people to create opportunities for good work and prosperity, not more dependence on government."
